Comparison Between HiPP Dutch Stage 2 and Loulouka Stage 2
HiPP and Loulouka are two of the most highly sought after European organic formula ranges in the world right now and rightly so. European organic brands follow extremely high organic standards, which has made them quite popular in the US.
So, which one of the two brands is better? Let’s compare HiPP Dutch Stage 2 and Loulouka Stage 2 and see how they stack up against each other.
Certification – HiPP and Loulouka product ranges are both EU certified organic. Both companies follow the guidelines laid down by the European Commission, the body that regulates and provides guidelines for organic baby formulas in Europe. Since EU regulations are very strict, a lot of people are now turning to European formulas for their little ones.
Prebiotics and Probiotics – Loulouka Stage 2 does not contain any prebiotics or probiotics. HiPP Dutch Stage 2 has gone down the other route and made prebiotics and probiotics part of the composition.
Lactose – Both Dutch Stage 2 HiPP and Stage 2 Loulouka have lactose in their ingredients.
Starch – Loulouka Stage 2 does not have any starch, just like Stage 1 and Stage 3 formulas. The same applies to all three stages of the HiPP Dutch formula family.
Maltodextrin – Loulouka Stage 2 and 3 contain maltodextrin, whereas Stage 1 does not. HiPP has removed maltodextrin from all three Dutch formulas.
Palm Oil – HiPP Stage 2 Dutch contains palm oil. Loulouka does not use palm oil at all in any of its products and has replaced it with coconut oil.
Sunflower Lecithin – HiPP’s Stage 2 Dutch formula is free of sunflower lecithin. Loulouka Stage 1, Stage 2, and Stage 3 all contain sunflower lecithin in their ingredients.
Note: Please make sure that you take a pediatrician’s advice whenever you try to move your child to formula milk. This is important because a doctor is in a better position to give you advice on which formula to pick.
